A free VPN with no sign-up: how it works

Most free VPNs ask for an email, show ads or sell what they learn about you. sNova does none of that. Every device gets free traffic at no cost, with no account, and the app stays free of ads on every plan. Here is how that works and what the limits are.

Why there is no account

An account exists to recognise you. sNova does not need to recognise you; it needs to recognise your device, so that the free allowance is granted once and your purchases can be restored. The app generates an identifier for the device and keeps it in the device keychain. That is what the allowance and the bonuses are tied to.

Because there is no email, there is nothing to leak, nothing to spam and nothing to reset. Delete the app and the allowance stays with the device; reinstalling does not grant a second allowance.

What is free and what is paid

Free: a traffic allowance per device, every country we offer, no ads, no speed cap. You can add to it by inviting friends: when a person you invited installs sNova and starts using it, you both receive extra traffic. Bonuses have a monthly cap per device.

Paid: the Unlimited plan removes the traffic limit for as long as the subscription runs. It is sold through Apple, renews automatically unless you cancel in your Apple Account, and can be restored on any device signed in to the same Apple Account.

How a free plan pays for itself

The free allowance is a trial that never expires. People who like the app and use more than it gives subscribe; that pays for the servers everyone uses. There is no third income stream: no advertising, no data brokers, no bundled software.

What we keep instead of your email

The device identifier, how many bytes it moved and through which country, the subscription status Apple reports, and the invitations you created. Not the sites you visit, not your address, not your name. The Privacy Policy lists every item and how long it is kept.
